Novato-based biotechnology company Ultragenyx develops and brings to market treatments for rare and ultra-rare diseases. They’re set to honor patients with rare diseases, their families, and support organizations, at Ultragenyx Patient Day on Saturday, April 11th. The event, which takes place at Ultragenyx’s Novato headquarters, includes presentations, live music, a buffet, and entertainment for kids including face painting, a bounce house and more.
The staff at Ultragenyx are familiar with the unique challenges faced by patients with rare diseases, and the challenges their caregivers and supporters face. This event is an opportunity for those groups to meet and learn from each other. Notably, it takes place immediately after West Coast XLH Day, also in Novato, which is a networking event for families dealing with X-linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH), a condition for which Ultragenyx currently has potential treatments in clinical trials.
