BioCision, the San Rafael-based supplier of cell cryopreservation products, systems, and solutions, will be leading a panel discussion on ‘Last Mile’ challenges at Phacilitate Cell and Gene Therapy World 2016 conference in Washington DC on January 26th, 2016.
The panel, lead by BioCision Senior Vice President of Research and Development, Eric Kunkel, PhD, will discuss the discuss the challenges the industry faces in ensuring standardized and reproducible manufacturing, transportation and handling of sensitive cell-based therapeutics through the “last mile,” or point of care.
Reflecting their expertise in the subject matter, BioCision launched the industry’s first hand-portable liquid nitrogen carrier for transport of cryogenic specimens in late December. The company will be exhibiting its award-winning automated cell thawing and transport products in booth #226.
